Verify a 20ft Container Before Loading

  1. State the required equipment type in the booking and obtain the carrier’s accepted specification or series information for special cargo.
  2. Measure the final cargo at its maximum outside points and weigh the same package version, including skid, crate, pallet and non-container securing material.
  3. At equipment release, identify the container number and inspect door frame, seals, floor, roof, walls, lashing points, cleanliness, odor, light ingress and visible damage.
  4. Read the CSC plate and door markings for maximum gross, tare and payload, then apply the lower accepted operational limit where another rule or route restricts weight.
